10月18日讯《马卡报》报道，国际足联即将官宣邀请迈阿密国际参加新世俱杯的决定。
新世俱杯将在2025年夏天在美国举办，因此有一个邀请名额留给美国球队，此前就有消息称，拥有梅西的迈阿密国际将成为受邀队伍，而《马卡报》现在表示，国际足联即将官宣这一消息。
迈阿密国际将作为美职联常规赛成绩最好的球队被邀请，他们已经赢得了常规赛冠军（支持者盾）。
目前已确定参加新世俱杯的俱乐部名单如下：
亚足联：利雅得新月（沙特）、阿尔艾因（阿联酋）、浦和红钻（日本）、蔚山HD（韩国）
非洲足联：开罗国民（埃及）、卡萨布兰卡（摩洛哥）、突尼斯希望（突尼斯）、马摩洛迪落日（南非）
